On October 1, 2016 three cars with 11 of our Guild Members drove to Kingston, Ontario to visit the 2016 Needle Arts Fair being held in the Kingston Seniors Centre. Much to our surprise a 12th guild member (living in Quebec) was also at the show.
The Annual Needle Arts Fair is an exhibit of work presented by the Cataraqui Guild of Needle Arts. A special exhibit of Bags and Purses on loan from the Embroidery Association of Canada’s Heritage Collection was very interesting. You can see three of the forty-eight items on the EAC site: Heritage Collection.
Viewers Choice ballots were available for picking our favourite from the exhibit of work by The Cataraqui Guild of Needle Arts Guild Members. The work was beautiful. We all, of course, visited the many vendors at the show and just had to purchase a thing or two.
We all went to lunch in downtown Kingston and visited the local market. A very pleasant day was had by all.
