At our stitch-in on June 1, 2016, Susan (Suz) Cuss introduced an idea of creating an embroidered pebble. This idea came from a Stitch Magazine article a number of years ago. Members who were interested in participating were asked to gather supplies over the summer and then they could work on them during stitch-in meeting during the fall. Supplies needed were items to create the raised surface such as rings, buttons, beads, etc., washed calico (muslin), netural embroidery threads, pieces of batting and crewel and tapestry needles. This project fell in perfectly with the 2016-2017 program theme “Embellishment…that’s crazy man!”. Thanks to Suz for introducing this beautiful project which resulted in some beautiful finished projects.
