December 13, 2017 brought 19 of our Guild members together to celebrate another Christmas. The “party” room at Kelsey’s Restaurant was again the perfect venue for our celebration. Thanks again to those members of our Guild who decorated the room so beautifully. Everything looked so festive.
Once again, we all made Christmas Ornaments. This year our ornaments were to be stars. Each star gift was wrapped and numbers were assigned when they arrived. Numbers were drawn and it was a wonderful surprise when the ornament was unwrapped.
At each of our place settings there was a little bag full of “fibres”. All of the fibres were from Roberta Young’s stash that she donated to the Guild. A challenge was issued to Guild members to use the bits from the bag and make an article of their choosing. Each article has to be used (as much or as little of each) with no other fibre allowed. Along with the background material, the piece can have some additional embellishment; e.g. beads, etc. We all have until next Christmas to finish this challenge and “show and tell” at our 2018 Christmas Luncheon celebration. Good Luck everyone!
