Another year has gone by and we were so blessed to be able to get together to celebrate Christmas. Almost all of our members were able to attend. The “party” room at Kelsey’s Restaurant was the perfect size for our celebration with the staff providing exceptional service. Thanks to those members of our Guild who decorated the room so beautifully.
Once again, we all made Christmas Ornaments. We could make anything we wanted this year and the variety was wonderful. Each gift was wrapped and numbers were assigned when they arrived. Numbers were drawn and it was a wonderful surprise when the ornament was unwrapped.
A couple of games were played this year; one being “Guess the Christmas Carol”. A list of 25 clues were provided which each one being a different Christmas Carol. For example, Sir Lancelot with laryngitis is Silent Night. We had a good laugh over some of the clues. The second game was “What I Have Never Done”. Each participant was given five coins. The player with the most coins was the winner. One player would say, “I have never ridden on a motorcyle”. If the other players did ride a motorcyle, they would each have to give a coin to the person posing their “never” statement. Good fun.
One of our members took a Christmas Card she received and turned it into a beautiful embroidered piece. Suz Cuss is one talented embroiderer. What a wonderful job she did.
