The Embroiderers’ Guild of Peterborough was founded in 1979, becoming the 10th Guild to join the Embroiderers’ Association of Canada Inc (EAC), and was a founding guild of the Ontario Network of Needleworkers (ONN) in 1983.
Please see History for our story.
We are a small group of dedicated needleworkers who meet monthly to discuss, share and learn more about the art of the threaded needle.
The Guild offers a diverse program that changes each year. Generally, there are workshops, mini lessons and/or speakers on topics and/or techniques designed to enable our members to broaden their knowledge and expertise.
The Guild has an extensive lending library for members’ use, featuring titles in 18 categories. The Guild also subscribes to the UK publications Stitch with the Embroiderers’ Guild and Embroidery. Being a member of EAC also makes their library available to our members.
