Christmas Luncheon 2018
December 12, 2018 brought 23 of our Guild members together to celebrate another Christmas. Kelsey’s Restaurant was again the site for our Christmas “party”. Everything looked so beautiful thanks to those members of our Guild who decorated.
Star Ornaments were once again the ornament of choice to be “traded”. Each star gift was wrapped and numbers were assigned when they arrived. Numbers were drawn and it was a wonderful surprise when the ornament was unwrapped. They were all so different and there were lots of “oohs” and “aahs”.
A challenge was issued to Guild members at the Christmas Luncheon in 2017 to use the bits from individual bags (fibres donated from Roberta Young’s stash) and to make an article of their choosing. Each article had to be used (as much or as little of each).
The only other fibre that could be used was the background. Along with the background material, the piece could have some additional embellishment; e.g. beads, etc. Seven members participated and there was a “show and tell” at our 2018 Christmas Luncheon.
