The Embroiderers’ Guild of Peterborough decided to enter the Members’ Exhibition at the recent EAC’s Seminar that was held from June 6 to 11, 2023 in Winnipeg. We entered The Seminar Group Project Category with the Award being chosen by EAC/ACB members and members of the public in attendance at the Members’ Exhibition.
We were very pleased to receive Third Place in this category for our Myriorama. Myriorama originally referred to a set of illustrated cards that 19th century children could arrange and re-arrange, forming different pictures. Our Myriorama was made using embroidered postcards with a common theme of paths or roadways that would flow together from postcard to postcard.
