The Embroiderers’ Guild of Peterborough decided, once again, to enter the Members’ Exhibition at EAC’s Seminar that was held from May 13 – 18, 2025 in Calgary. We entered The Seminar Group Project Category with the Award being chosen by EAC/ACB members and members of the public in attendance at the Members’ Exhibition.
We were very pleased to receive Third Place in this category for our Colour Play projects. Using a wedge from the Colour Wheel, EGP members were asked to use only those colours on the wedge and design an embroidered project on a 6″ x 6″ canvas board. All the materials used – fabric, thread, paint and other embellishments, were to follow the colours on the colour wedge.
Twenty-two projects were completed and submitted to EAC. Thank you to the EGP member participants for completing their beautiful works.
Wonderful projects were submitted by other Embroidery Guilds from across Canada. Congratulations to the First and Second Award Winners.
