Fiona provided us with a Power Point Presentation on visible mending techniques and creative ideas to fix our worn clothing. Also there were some ideas on how to freshen up clothing that we may have not worn for quite some time.
Jan’s Mending Project – This is a sweatshirt ‘painted’ using a printing medium to suggest northern lights. One of the embellishments is over a hole…the others just for ‘show’.
Wenda – I had fun adding a little decoration to my favourite apron using the Shashiko style of embroidery. I like the idea of rough edge patches so I incorporated them into my design. The weird thing on the pocket is my tag. It was fun, although my finger tips are missing a couple layers of skin! Now my apron can go back into service, I was missing it!
