A big thank you to Fiona for liaising with SAQA in order to bring us this Trunk Show. In Fiona’s introduction in her handout, she thanked Ingrid Langhorst, the Central Canada Regional Rep. for SAQA for bringing this show to Ontario and making it available to groups interested in textile arts. This particular Trunk Show is one of 10 that SAQA put together as travelling exhibitions using work created by SAQA members from around the world.
We were broken out into four groups and we were asked to take a closer look at the pieces and pick which pieces we individually were drawn to with Round 1 picking our Favourite. During Round 2 we were asked to consider the Elements of Design and during Round 3 we were asked to consider the Techniques.
This author picked these three – pretty obvious I am drawn to certain colours.
Quite a lively discussion occurred in our groups when discussing our favourites. It was very interesting to listen and learn from our group members as to their reasons for their choices.
