These ghost cards are based on pictures taken 40 years ago in Uranium City, Saskatchewan and include the house we lived in, the hospital where our son was born, and the Eldorado 737 that was so important for those living in this fly-in community.
The mine closed the following year and the town is essentially a ghost town – only a few inhabitants remain. The hospital is empty, the house was moved by barge to Fort McMurray, and airport still operates for small planes only.
The 737 was done on silk with machine sewing thread. The other two were done on a linen/cotton blend with variegated Valdani threads.
