I made a number of quilted mats and placemats for our home after we re-did our kitchen and painted the walls a soft blue. I made 18 mats, then saved all the bits and threads left over to make another fabric using wash-away stabilizer. I added foil, ribbons, and threads to my leftovers. From the made fabric, I cut a piece to create a cover for a water colour booklet I made for a friend.
